Two year old Watson is an obedient and energetic 54 pound all-around fun guy. He learned his daily routine quickly and is 100% house broken, crate trained and loves riding in the car. Watson has mastered basic commands like sit, stay, and leave it. He loves the water and will play fetch and tug-of-war until he is absolutely exhausted. In the house he knows when to turn down the energy level and can be trusted alone. Watson has lived with a cat in his previous home, and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate. Watson would thrive in an active household where he will get plenty of love and exercise. He would do best with older respectful children. Watson would enjoy a dog buddy but would do great as an only dog too.
Watson’s leash walking skills are a 7/10 but steadily improving as he is very curious and cautious of the world around him. He loves to play with other dogs but takes time to warm-up to people he has not met. At home he is a complete gentleman and a joy to be around. He will follow you throughout the house and outside only laying down at your feet when you sit down.
Watson is happiest when he is active! He has been enjoying a daily 30 minute walk, a short game of fetch and tug-of-war and plenty of running freely around the fenced-in yard exploring the world. His ideal situation would allow him to get outside a couple times every day to run freely (in a fenced area, of course!). One other fun fact about Watson - he smells good! He is a great dog and dedicated companion. Please give his foster a call if you'd like to meet Watson!
