Meet the easiest foster we've had in four years of fostering....Jett. He came to us at 3 months old and to way to skinny. Now at 6 months and 56 pounds he's looking for his furever family. He's been easy to train being treat motivated. He'll sit immediately when he hears that treat bag opening. He knows sit, stay, off, working on down, responds to no or uh-uh for correction, uses the dog door, sits for his dog bowl (working on sit & stay until released), rides good in the car, easy walking on leash, and has a very soft mouth taking treats, not food aggressive, can be trusted in the house alone. Toys are a must and he'll be taking them outside to lay in the sun with. Bedtime he goes right into his crate when we walk in the bedroom and sleeps through the night.
He was so good at the first event he went to here in Tucson, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and waiting for pets and following my commands. Amazingly he's only bark one time, even with the resident two labs trying to teach him, that was at the front door when someone arrived. He's a people boy, keep a dog bed in the LR so he can rest and still be near you, when you go to the bathroom, he'll be waiting outside the door for you.
He likes to use his paw to get your attention, so older kids would be better for him. We're working on "no paw". He loves playing with our resident dogs, but with an active family to work off his puppy energy he should be fine. Playing fetch is a favorite too, and he actually brings the ball back. Oh, and don't forget the snuggles!
