Meet TJ, a 14-month-old, 56-pound bundle of energy and affection! He's a sweet goofy chocolate Lab who loves to follow his humans around the house and be involved with whatever they're doing.
Full of playful energy, TJ loves fetch, splashing in the rain, and exploring the outdoors. TJ is still practicing his leash manners and can get a little excited on walks when he sees other dogs, but he’s improving every day! He’s shy meeting new people away from home, but once you’re in his circle, expect plenty of kisses and cuddles. He's a major lapdog!
TJ has lived with other dogs, and appears to be eager to play and make new doggie friends. TJ has not been kid-tested but would likely do best with older children who can handle his enthusiasm. He’s making progress living with a cat and could do well with a confident, dog-savvy feline. A home with another dog or an active family would be ideal, especially one where someone is home often—he thrives on companionship.
TJ is housebroken and learning to use bells on the back door to signal when it’s time to go out. He does best with regular potty breaks to avoid accidents. He’s working on crate training and is comfortable spending part of the night in his crate.
