My name is Spike and I am a sweet and happy 5 month old, 30 pound black labrador retriever mix! I am a lover and I adore being around my foster humans. I have a bit of a hard time when they leave the house or when I am separated from them, but I am working on this with my foster family. I know my forever family will continue to be patient as I have so much to learn and confidence to gain.
I am great with other dogs and am friendly and curious around cats. I am having so much fun with my human foster brother (1 year old) and sister (7 year old), although I am still learning to be more mindful around my foster brother as I tend to knock him down. Good thing he is a good sport, because I adore him! I enjoy toys and in typical puppy fashion, I like to discover and chew on things, but I am easily redirected. I am still learning to walk on a leash so I hope you will be patient with me so I can keep learning to be the best dog I can be. I have so much love to give and I cannot wait to meet my forever family. I hope it will be you!
