Shelby is a gorgeous, lovable, sweet, gentle 15-month-old, 72-pound, female who is overall very calm for her young age. She knows all of the basic commands - sit, down, stay and come. She absolutely loves to go for walks, is good on a leash, and if you like to jog, she would be right next to you with a big smile on her face. Her nose is curious, and she would say it was an extra fabulous outing if you let her explore. She is very friendly, loves meeting new humans and wants to play with every dog she comes across. Shelby is also good with cats, amazing with kids of all ages and would equally thrive as an only dog or with other dog siblings. She sleeps quietly on her dog bed all night long, has the cutest spin-in-circles-zoom-dog routine, stays off furniture and definitely loves to cuddle & get belly rubs. Shelby especially enjoys being a part of the household action no matter what’s going on. She will follow you around or relax close by your side and would prefer to be around her people most of the day.
Shelby is quickly learning that car rides are a positive activity and crates are fun to go in on her own to take a nap or chew on her bone. When left home alone she does great behind a baby gate. She is housebroken but has not had the opportunity to try out a doggy door, although in typical lab fashion she is very food motivated and super intelligent so learning new things comes easily for this extra special beauty.
