Ruger 5 is a 15-week-old labrador mix who currently weighs 18 pounds (but growing everyday!). He is a bundle of cuteness, silliness, curiosity and enough confidence to keep you on your toes. Since being in a foster home, he has learned to play with toys, his foster fur-sibling and how lovely humans can be when they love and adore you.
This sweet puppy is already mostly house-trained, knows how to use a dog door, and sleeps through the night in his crate. While he's still a young puppy, he already has a soft mouth when he takes treats and will need to continue his obedience training.
His ideal home would be one with children over the age of six (his baby teeth are sharp and he's still learning to be gentle) and a family that is more active given his young age! Ruger loves to play, run around and will need a family that is ready for the joy of puppy-raising.
Ruger 5 will be available through SOLR's Pending Adoption Welfare Status (PAWS) program which places puppies in their forever homes to start the bonding process prior to completing the adoption. Adopters MUST be approved by SOLR for our PAWS program to adopt a PAWS puppy. If approved, adopters must abide by the PAWS program agreement including spay/neuter and vaccine requirements which are all paid for by SOLR.
