Meet Tucker, a sweet-as-can-be 3-month-old Labradoodle who seems to be more lab than poodle. He is approximately 25lbs, but still growing! Tucker is pretty mellow for a puppy and loves to follow his foster mom everywhere she goes. He knows his name and the “sit” command quite well and is working on “come” and “stay”. He hasn’t used a doggy door but is very good at doing his business outside when taken out regularly. The kennel is no longer foreign to him and he sleeps well all night long. Of course, Tucker would be happy to snooze on a dog bed or cuddle up with you on the couch; he really is a great cuddler! As a puppy Tucker will need continued training, including leash training, but he is very quick learner and treats always help! Tucker plays well with his 80-lb foster sister and his littermate Benji, with bouts of that puppy energy when playing chase, tug, or keep away. He finds interest is playing ball but hasn’t yet mastered bringing it back. Tucker has lived with a 6-year-old child and would do well with kids, but as a puppy, does still jump and play. He has not been tested with cats. His perfect family will have a family member home often to care for and train him as he grows and should match his moderate energy level which will likely grow as he does. If you are looking for a younger pup to add to your pack, Tucker would love to meet you! Tucker is available through our PAWS program which places puppies in their forever home to start the bonding process, prior to completing adoption. Adopters must abide by PAWS program agreement including spay/neuter and vaccine requirements, which are paid for by SOLR.
