Hi, I’m Pollyanna — your chocolate-sweet, frosty-faced girl with a heart full of joy and a whole lot of personality.
I’m 5 years old and weigh 78 lbs. I am gentle, playful, and always ready to make you smile. I’ve lived with kids of all ages and think they’re pretty great. I’ve also lived with another dog — an older 15-year-old Lab — and I did just fine. I can happily be your one-and-only or share the home with another friendly pup. Just one non-negotiable… no cats, please.
I’m trustworthy in the house when left alone, and I’m working hard on mastering the doggy door. On walks, I get excited at first and pull a bit, but once I settle in I’m lovely to walk. I do need a home that enjoys regular walks — they’re good for my mind and my body.
I sleep wherever I’m comfy: the family room recliner, a rug, or even your bed — but only if you invite me. Dog beds? Not really my thing so far. I have a strong food drive, which means I need humans who are confident and consistent with rules. When it's mealtime or walk time, I’ll definitely let you know. I’m also a talker — I’ll bark at strangers or door knocks, but once I get a sniff and decide everything is fine, I settle quickly. I consider myself the official protector of the house.
Thunder? I’ll give it a couple barks, then I’m over it.
I love fetch, catching balls mid-air, and a good game of tug. I’ve got two modes: chill or doing my happy dance. I’m not a big cuddler, but I love leaning in for butt scratches and belly rubs. I also enjoy dog puzzles — they keep my brain busy. And here’s my funny little quirk: I like to sniff hair and rub my face in it. It’s my way of saying you’re mine.
I know lots of commands: sit, come, stay, wait, ready/set/go. Before eating or getting a puzzle, I sit and wait until you say “go.” I know the words “ball” and “walk,” too. I’m fully housetrained and settle in quickly to a new routine.
Car rides? I adore them. I’ll happily hop right in any chance I get.
I’m an easygoing girl — always happy, always ready to play, but if you’re busy, I’ll simply relax until you’re ready again.
