Lila is a gorgeous, mellow senior white lab who is the best companion. She’s a purebred who was a trained therapy dog with experience bringing joy to sick kids, seniors and veterans alike. After serving her owner and numerous schools, hospitals and retirement homes, Lila developed diabetes and her owner struggled to regulate her blood sugar which was causing a lot of stress resulting in a less than great environment for Lila. SOLR got a call from Lila’s vet and jumped in to save this sweet girl. Lila is doing awesome in her foster home with all of her brothers and sisters. Lila loves to fetch and will even toss her toy back to you. She will fetch for as long as you can throw! SOLR provided Lila with the gift of eye surgery to restore her sight and her vision has returned. This allows her to live the best of her golden years doing what she loves! Lila loves her humans and her four-legged siblings but is just fine being an only dog. She is amazing in the car, on a leash and in any social situation. She does not bark and is completely trustworthy when left alone. Her diabetes requires special food and an insulin shot twice a day, but all of this is affordable, easy to administer and readily available. Lila can’t wait to find her new forever home!!
