Lacey is a beautiful 18-month-old yellow lab mix. Weighing in at just 55 pounds, she’s a petite girl with the most expressive, brown eyes and silky, white coat. She is house-broken and uses the doggie door. Lacey is incredibly smart and quick to learn new things. She recently graduated from beginner obedience classes and is eager to get started on the next level. Continued training will be key in helping Lacey overcome her fears and continue her growth. She loves her daily walks which are an extension of her training and exposure to new things. This little sweetheart LOVES attention, and she’s definitely in her happy place when people are near. Lacey is crate trained, but is also trustworthy to be left alone for brief periods. At night, she loves a good snuggle on her foster's bed, or a cool spot on the tile floor not far away. Lacey loves to chew on bones or toys independently, but also loves a good game of keep away or tug-of-war with the resident dogs. When playtime gets a little too rambunctious, she responds well to the commands "look at me" and "settle." Lacey would be happy to be your "one and only girl," or as a companion to another non-reactive, confident dog. She has not been tested with young children or cats. While Lacey doesn't initiate swimming in the pool, she does know how to swim and likes to hang out in the splash zone! Lacey is currently being treated for heartworms with a topical once-a-month treatment. The full course of medication is being provided by SOLR, and she will need to be retested upon completion. It’s impossible to convey what a sweet dog Lacey is. She’ll completely steal your heart with one look from her big, brown eyes!
