Sweet Kiernan is 5 years old and 75 pounds of perfection! He loves to chase balls in the grass or into the pool, swimming, and going for long walks.
His manners are impressive, as he releases the ball when you ask, heels well on a leash, and obeys basic commands (sit, down, stay, leave it). In his past, he did competitive dock jumping. Watching how athletic he is, it must have been an incredible sight. He can catch a ball thrown at almost any angle, and is faster than any Lab I’ve seen.
He rides well in cars, is crate trained, and sleeps in his crate with the door open at night. He loves to go between your legs, and it’s clear it must have been a “thing” with his previous owner. He gets along well with other dogs and will take their cue as to whether they want to play.
Kiernan is an active 6-year-old, so he requests an active family that has someone around most of the day. He would enjoy long walks, throwing a ball where he has room to run, and swimming. Despite his energy, he is a gentle boy. While we haven't seen him with children, his good nature and gentleness leads us to believe he'd do well. We were told he did well with children in his previous home. Kiernan can thrive as an only dog or in a multi-dog home.
