This sweet 5 1/2 -year-old senior was cruelly abandoned in the desert last June. Scared and confused, she fled from would-be rescuers. Eventually, a team trapped the frightened girl and contacted SOLR for help.
Hazel is undergoing treatment for ear infections, and heartworm. She must limit her activity for now. She is in a temporary foster home with several other rescue dogs, but Hazel needs a place of her own. She needs a calm, loving, low-activity home where she can heal. Preferably, a home without dogs or only calm, older dogs.
Hazel is a sweet, gentle, affectionate girl with lots of love to give. She is 5 ½ years old and weighs 72 pounds. Hazel is housebroken, doggy-door trained, does not chew, never destroys things, can be trusted home alone, and loves to snuggle. She enjoys swimming but cannot do so until her heartworm treatment is complete. (Another two months of treatment.) She is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt, and she would love to be your lifelong companion. Is that you?
