Duchess is a purebred black lab beauty who came to SOLR when her owner could no longer care for her. She is 18 months old and 75lbs and is a big, happy girl. She is very smart and would love to learn some more commands. Her owners did do some training with her so she knows sit and come but could do with having some more training. She is crate trained, house trained, doggy door trained but could do with some work on the leash. She has lived with another dog and gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She would enjoy having another doggy friend to play with. She is friendly and affectionate and loves people and other dogs. She has lived with kids age 6+. She has never lived with cats and we don’t know if she’s a swimmer as she’s never had a pool. This stunning girl has shiny black fur and expressive eyes, and will constantly watch for what to do next as she’s definitely a Velcro dog who loves to be with her people. She is quite high energy and would enjoy going on walks, hikes or runs with her new family. She can be calm too and enjoys being on your lap or laying on your bed if you let her.
