Meet Darla, a petite 6 month old female black lab weighing in at 34 pounds. Darla arrived to SOLR feeling uncertain about her new surroundings. But with her foster family, she has quickly blossomed into a sweet lady who comes up for pets, knowing she is safe and loved!
Darla came into the rescue with an injury to her leg, but it turned out to be nothing serious and is being treated with some medications. Not to worry, as her injury has not slowed her down at all! Darla loves to race through the backyard with her foster sister when she is feeling fun and playful.
Darla is a very smart gal! She has quickly learned "come," "sit," and "kennel" and will learn even more commands if you give her a treat! She is just starting to practice walking on a leash and will be happy to continue learning her leash manners with her new family. Darla is housetrained but hasn't yet used a doggie door. She prefers to sleep through the night with her fur-sister in the bedroom either in the kennel with the door open or on her dog bed.
Darla would love a home with another dog to bond with and who can help show her the ropes and help her blossom into the most perfect girl. She would do great with or without kids (currently lives with a 6 year old), and is not cat tested. If you've been looking for the sweetest little lady to love on, Darla would love to meet you! Please call my foster family if you want to meet me!
