Charlie is a 10.5 year old gentle giant who weighs 80 pounds and is a complete gentleman. He is well behaved when left loose in the house and is learning how to use the doggy door. At night he sleeps on his dog bed and is content to lay by your feet during the day.
He listens well and knows many commands such as: sit, lay, stay, shake, rollover, speak(bark), leave it, “Go sit by the door”, “Go sit on the rug”, “go on your beddy”, “go housey(crate)”, “no begging”, and, “search” for peanut butter balls. He absolutely loves going for walks and other than a little excitement at the beginning he walks nicely on the leash.
He lives in his foster home with children ranging in age from 4-16 and small and large dogs and has done great with everyone. Charlie does seem to enjoy the company of another dog so we would be looking to find him a home with a semi active canine companion.
Charlie was with the same family his whole life prior to coming to SOLR so transitioning for him may take a few days but he promises to “wow” you with his intelligence and calm and sweet demeanor.
