Denver has a very sweet nature, is curious, affectionate, and a BIG boy. Weighing in at 90+ pounds, you would think he would be intimidating. He is incredibly gentle and polite…even when taking treats from your hand or meeting strangers. The vet estimates he’s about 3 years old, and is mostly content to lay around, so long as you’re around. He loves hugs and thinks he’s small enough to curl up on your lap (he’s not, but it doesn’t stop him from trying anyway). He also likes playing with his toys, and surprisingly, he hasn’t destroyed any!
Denver is house trained (he will tap on the door when he needs to go out). He is learning basic commands of sit, down, stay and “leave it” (especially accurate when you have a treat), and likes being brushed. He likes chasing a ball or toy and will bring it back and give it to you. Denver enjoys walks and is good on a leash.
Denver is good with children and gets along best with larger dogs. He has not been cat tested. Denver settles down nicely to sleep in a crate at night. While he is crate trained, he is also trustworthy in the house and behaves well when alone. Denver loves attention and would thrive in a home where his family spends lots of time with him.
