Hi! My name’s Buddy 13 and I’m 9 months old, but I think I am mature for my age. I have gained some much needed weight and now I am up to 47 lbs. Lately I’ve been hanging out with a really nice family who has a 5 year old lab and a 7 year old human for me to play with. In just four weeks I have learned my name, and what the words “come, no, sit, stay, and kennel” mean (and I’m pretty good at most of them). I also know that I am supposed to go to the bathroom outside and if I go to the door when I need to do my business they let me outside.
My foster mom told me that I am going to make a special family really happy and she’ll be so sad to see me go. I am excited to meet this “special family” she speaks of, but I do have some requests:
• Please have treats. I will do almost anything for them.
• You must also have tennis balls and toys. I love to play.
• I would like a bed on the floor next to yours to sleep on at night (please make it a big one).
• It would be great to have someone home with me during the day so I don’t have to stay kenneled up, but we can negotiate this.
• I don’t need another dog around, but if you have one that’s friendly and would want to play, I would love to play tug, tag and chase the ball with them.
• I like kids but am a little clumsy. I might bump into smaller children, but I do really well with the 7 year old I live with now.
• Please take me on regular walks to help me learn to walk on a leash. I don’t pull on it, but don’t yet understand how to make it stop hitting me in the face.
If all this sounds good and you want to hit the jackpot with the coolest dog ever (me), apply to adopt and give my foster a call!
