Please meet Augie, a beautiful 18-month-old golden retriever who came to SOLR after her owner sadly passed away. She is approximately 75 lbs., housebroken (uses a doggie door), crate trained, good with other dogs after an intro period, and friendly with people. However, Augie is not good with cats. She has done very well in her foster home and has even learned to exercise on the treadmill! Augie does need to lose a bit of weight, so ongoing exercise will be important. Unlike her short-haired lab cousins, Augie will need regular brushing and grooming of her coat as all goldens do. Augie loves her toys and will play with other dogs after she gets to know them. As we often see with our younger rescues, Augie is still like a puppy who jumps up, is a bit mouthy and needs leash training. Her adopters must be committed to obedience training with Augie. She is a super happy girl and would love to find her forever home! Please send her foster a text if you are interested in meeting Augie.
