Shakira is a ~2 year old, 60-lb yellow Lab mix that is 100% lab personality with a gentle disposition, as well as a playful side. This smart and sweet girl warms up quickly to new people, places and dogs/cats (even a tortoise!). Shakira walks well on a leash, follows verbal commands, rides well in the car and does not jump. She is truly an amazing girl that aims to please!
She loves to play with dogs and becomes submissive if things get a little too rowdy. When the tennis ball comes out—watch out! She’s the master of fetch and her zoomies will make you laugh out loud. On the other hand, she is gentle with cats and does not approach them unless they show interest in her.
Shakira already knows sit, down and gentle, and she is quick to learn new commands and routines. She loves being part of the family and her ideal home is one where she’s included in all the fun—whether it’s adventures outside or relaxing on her bed. She also does great when alone without a crate.
