Buckley is a ~60lb 5 yr old Black Lab mix who has been through so much in his young life. When he came to SOLR, he was suffering with a broken leg and lasting effects of neglect and abuse. Thanks to the support of our SOLR community, Buckley had surgery to repair his leg along with much needed dental work to address the damage caused by neglect. Through every step of his long recovery, he has been a loving and very resilient boy! He is growing stronger every day and is so deserving of his forever home.
Buckley is a kind and sweet boy who loves his person. He may be cautious when first meeting someone new but give him a treat and you will win him over! He really loves food and has gained a few pounds, at a healthy 60 lbs. He is crate trained and sees his crate as his safe place. He is housebroken, rides well in a car and adores children.
While Buckley is still healing and on his journey to full health, watching him blossom and completely recover will be a rewarding experience for the right adopter. Buckley needs a home with patience and love; someone who is willing to let him become the dog we know he can be; a home where he is safe. Will you be his furever family or person?
