Abby (5) is a 9 year old, approximately 75lb, yellow lab who is as sweet as they come. She is good with cats, dogs, kids and loves anyone she meets. Abby rides well in the car and is trustworthy in the house when left to roam. She is house and crate trained but doesn’t need a crate – she’s happy to go in one to go to sleep or if given the choice, will take a soft doggie bed next to you. She doesn’t really get up on the sofa or bed, but with a little coaxing would happily oblige and cuddle up with you.
Abby gets along with other dogs. Her preference is to be with her people most as she will follow you around the house or lie in close proximity to you while you watch tv or work. She likes to walk around the yard, and watch the butterflies and birds and people. She doesn’t seem to know what to do with toys or how to play catch. Abby does have good energy. She’s been watching her foster sister play with toys and play catch and seems to be considering joining in! Abby needs a little training on the leash, as she pulls a bit but after her initial excitement wears off, she eases up. Her prior owner says she likes the pool but it’s been cold so she hasn’t been in one at her foster’s home. If Abby sounds like a good fit for you, please call her foster!
