Miss Mia is ready to find her forever family! Mia is 5 months old and at 42 pounds she will likely grow to a good size as an adult. But don't let size fool you - Mia is as sweet as can be! Mia can be shy when meeting new people and is easily startled by loud noises and quick movements. She will need a family who can give her the time and space to adjust to her new life and be patient with her as she comes out of her shell - which she will do with time!. Mia would do best with a family who can build her confidence through a commitment to training. A family without young children is best, though she does well with her 6 year old human foster brother, so older children who know how to respect a dog's boundaries would be okay.
Like most puppies, Mia loves her chew toys and responds well to redirects if she accidentally grabs the wrong thing. She is housetrained as long as she is let outside regularly and may need to warm up to the use of a doggy door. Mia requires a kennel as it is her safe space and where she contently naps during the day. She sleeps quietly through the night in her kennel and will gladly go into the kennel when it's time for you to leave the house. Mia loves walks and will happily prance down the sidewalk without pulling on the leash, but will need additional practice to walk by your side.
Who could resist this face and those ears? This sweet soul deserves the best from a family with a lot of love to give! Could that be you?
