Meet Shadow! Shadow is a 4 year old female lab weighing in around 48 pounds, she is a petite girl affectionately known as a pocket lab in her foster home! Shadow has a sweet and affectionate personality but is also quite spunky, ready to play whenever she has the chance! She does excellent on leash, is crate and dog door trained and has learned how to sit, stay and wait. She is still working on "off" but is learning very quickly. She is eager to get all the belly rubs and is a world class snuggler!
Shadow can be shy when first meeting new people and dogs and takes some time to warm up. Once she warms up she loves to run around and be part of the action! Shadow gets along with the resident dogs in home and has met many dogs both big and small and has done well. To our knowledge, she has not been exposed to cats. Shadow would do best in a home with another confident, but non-dominate, dog that can continue to teach her all the best things about being a dog & help her build her confidence!
The perfect family for Shadow is an active family that is committed to ongoing training and lots of play time! Shadow has done well with humans of all sizes but can be timid to loud noises and sudden movements, so a home with older children is likely best. If you're looking for a pocket sized lab with a whole lot of love to give, Shadow is your girl!
